The ancient town of Neqada, which lies on the banks of the Nile 30 km south of Qena, is famous for its hand-woven crafts. In a new episode of Beyond the Factory, which explores labor intensive workshops around Egypt, we meet Mohamed Atteya Hussein as he sits alone in his workshop making Ferka, a multicolored, handwoven scarf which is exported to Sudan.
